OUR 40th Reunion was Held Already...almost 200 attendees!!!!!
WHY WILDCATS INSTEAD OF SPARTANS?
Many graduates prior to 1988 have asked why the school
mascot changed from the Spartan to the Wildcat. The Wildcat was adopted by WJ as
part of the "merger politics" negotiated when Woodward HS closed its
doors. WJ kept their fight song and the Green & White but the Spartan gave way
to the Wildcat.
